December 2023

We hope this letter finds you all well and we wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! As we approach the end of the year, we wanted to provide an update on our ongoing efforts and developments since our last communication.

Financial Updates and Wall Fund Progress

Firstly, we’re pleased to report that our bank account balance has grown to $5,664.53. Thanks to your continued support and generosity, we have successfully raised $2,405 towards the wall fund. While this is a significant step forward, we still need to raise an additional $1,095 to reach our goal of $3,500 for the wall repairs. Remember, every contribution brings us closer to revitalizing our neighborhood’s appearance.

Exciting Developments for the Wall Repair

We have a promising update regarding the wall repair. One of our new homeowners owns a construction company and has come forward with some potential solutions that might reduce the overall cost of the repairs. She is willing to do the work, at her cost, and submit her contractor’s invoices to the Board for reimbursement. The Board is actively exploring these options, and we will keep you informed as this develops.

Annual Dues Reminder

As we move into the new year, we’d like to remind everyone that our annual dues of $100 are due at the beginning of the year. These dues are vital in helping us meet our monthly obligations, such as maintaining the grass and the streetlight, as well as contributing to our wall fund.

Addressing Community Concerns

We understand that there have been concerns expressed on social media, particularly regarding the pace of the wall painting. While we share your eagerness to see improvements, it’s important to note that we are still short of our financial goal for this project. Our top priority is to ensure that our monthly obligations are met and that the wall repair is conducted correctly and sustainably. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding. Constructive dialogue is always welcome, but we remind everyone that airing grievances on social media platforms does not expedite the process and can impact the overall spirit of our community.

In closing, your support and involvement are what make Durant Woods a wonderful place to live. We’re committed to transparency and efficiency in all our efforts and look forward to making continued progress together.

Should you have any questions or wish to discuss these matters further, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at DurantWoodsHOA@gmail.com.

Thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,
